MTap is a sales tool for businesses in Cambodia: NFC business cards, public profile pages, web forms and a shared lead pipeline, with a web admin and a mobile app. MTap is operated by ANGKOR DATA COMMUNICATION GROUP CO., LTD. (MekongNet), Phnom Penh, Cambodia ("we").

Each business that uses MTap (a "company") decides whose cards it hands out and what it does with the leads it receives. For the people who tap a card or fill in a form, that company is responsible for their data and we process it on its behalf. For the staff accounts of a company, and for this website, we are responsible.

Data we collect

When you open a card or a profile page

• The card you opened, the time, and whether it was an NFC tap or a QR scan.
• The type of device and browser (from the user agent), your country and your internet provider.
• A one-way hash of your IP address. We do not store the IP address itself.
• An anonymous cookie (mtap_vid) that tells repeat visits apart. It holds a random id, nothing about you, and expires after one year.
• The contact buttons you press (for example Telegram or Phone).

We use this to count visits for the company, to stop fake or automated visits (including a Cloudflare Turnstile check), and to keep the service secure.

When you leave your contact or write to a company

• What you give: your name, phone number, email address and message, through "Leave your contact" or a web form.
• When you start a chat with a company's Telegram bot or Facebook Page: your Telegram or Messenger account id and display name, and that you contacted them. The conversation itself stays in Telegram or Messenger.

This becomes a lead for that company's sales team, who may contact you about what you asked for.

When you use MTap as a company's staff

• Your account: name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), employee code, role and team.
• Your public profile, if your company publishes one: photo, title, biography and the contact accounts you choose to show.
• In the mobile app: a push notification token, and the camera (to scan a card's QR code or take your profile photo), NFC (to write cards) and photos (to choose a profile picture), only when you use those features.
• The notes, follow-ups and changes you make to leads.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
• We do not show ads and do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
• We do not collect your precise location.

Who processes data for us

• Google Cloud (Singapore): servers and database.
• Cloudflare: network protection, Turnstile and file storage.
• Resend: sending emails such as invitations and daily digests.
• Expo, Apple and Google: delivering push notifications to the mobile app.
• Telegram and Meta: when a company connects its bot or Facebook Page.
• OpenAI: drafting profile content from a company's own prompts. We do not send leads' personal data to it.

How long we keep data

We keep data while the company's MTap account is active. When a company or a person asks us to delete a lead or a staff account, or a company closes its account, we delete the related data within 30 days; database backups that still hold it expire within 14 days after that.

Security

All connections use HTTPS. Channel credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to a company's data is limited to its own staff according to their role.

Your choices and deleting your data

• If you are a customer of a company, contact that company, or email us and we will pass on your request: access, correction or deletion of your data.
• To delete your MTap staff account and its data, ask your company's MTap admin, or email [email protected] from your account's email address with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm and delete it within 30 days.
• You can clear the mtap_vid cookie in your browser at any time; the profile pages keep working.

Children

MTap is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and change the date above.
